Have re-ignited the flame that was the Supporting Artist Awards as a facebook group.
Three years on and the awards will have the sponsorship of SeeYouOnSet (Obsessive Indulgence), which is my way of giving a little something back to all of those who may have felt a tad slighted in the book (by not being mentioned) and a general thank you to all those who have been kind enough to support or show support for my endeavours with this project.
Supporting Artist Awards
And, just to ensure that everyone is aware, the bigger the group and the more sales of the book made, the bigger the prizes (awards); but at only £1.99 per copy, a great read and a chance to see if you recognise some of the characters in the book; it doesn't seem a high price to pay.
Cheers,
Steve xx
Obsessive Indulgence is an umbrella title for a series of short stories and short story collections. Each collection of short stories has its own individual title, the first in the series being; "SeeYouOnSet!" : The film & television world through the eyes of a jobbing extra - (The Alternative Extra 'Extras' Handbook).

Availability
This is just to let everyone know that the book, SeeYouOnSet!, is available globally at every Amazon Kindle store. Obviously, individually priced in the currency of your particular country. Hope this answers a question from a few of my friends around the globe. Many thanks, Steve x

Working as a Supporting Artist/Extra.
Back to the day job, which I was kind of afraid was getting away from me.
As for all supporting artists, there are always going to be 'slow' periods. Some of which are a good deal slower than others. Days, that can stretch into weeks, and, on occasion, months.
I've been very lucky, the slow periods have been few and far between, and the last one gave me the opportunity to finish the book - "SeeYouOnSet!" - it's kind of handy having another string to your bow; something that I do go into in the book, as well.
It's good to be back working again, though; and relatively easy to get back into the swing of things.
Now I have a few days off, to catch up on things that you really don't have the time, or inclination to do (after spending 14 hours outside of your home environment), like washing, shopping and getting down to some more writing (in preparation for the next book, and other stories); and, oh yeah, getting a decent nights sleep!

The Hardest Part
At least for me, is promoting the book.
Finding it very difficult to allow myself to thrust my work upon friends (both real and network), for the simple reason that I hate begging - and to me that's what it actually feels like.
Actually, it's not, more like asking for a favour; because I'm not asking them to purchase a copy (although, I wouldn't mind if they did), I'm simply asking them to help promote, by 'liking' or re-tweeting or simply passing it on. Nevertheless, I am finding it a very difficult thing to do.
It's such an insular, singular thing, writing a book - perhaps it's just hard to let it go, open it up and ask for other people to assist.
Got to be done, though.

Time for an upgrade?
Although an Apple (computer, not phone) fan/user for thirteen years, am getting seriously excited about the upcoming (January 30th) Blackberry 10 OS announcement of new phones. Like the idea that people have even written books on the Blackberry - who knows what might be available on the new phone and OS?

Showcase Link
Via Ganxy, now have a new link to showcase the book. Quite impressive, and also serves to remind me of what the link is, by posting here:
